You have to ask yourself: do I put my Passive on a long cooldown to get the advantage of my Active ability? For some abilities, it feels like a punishment to keep it going to long. I would suggest making the effects of passives turn on while the Focus is charged but not in use. But, you cannot make such a change if the Active abilities are not made to be more interesting and useful. You start it once and never bother with it afterwards. I believe there needs to be a balance between the Passive and Active abilities so that it becomes a dilemma when to use one or the other, rather than just pressing F5 to get everything.įirst problem I see, as it has been mentioned by -.A.-Prime, is that the current way Passive abilities work make them feel like a simple part of Active skills. I suppose, Mastery should have an increase in cost, it lowers the timer quiet a lot when at max rank with those calculations. Suggestion: Make a mixed timer for Active and Passive powers. Having times where I've never seen anyone using their Focus for long since the first few days since U18, normally its just BAM not even 1 second and they are dismissed, not using any of the active parts. As of right now, Focus are mostly used for their passives, with their active abilities feeling lackluster for the players (That I could gather).
